NBA 2K21 Patch Notes: Latest Update Changes PARK Theme On Current-Gen

2K is still updating the version of their NBA series that most of their fans are playing. that’s the current-gen version available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One X.

With many fans still unable to get their hands on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, the current-gen version still has far more traffic. Metrics aren’t available, but this has been mentioned to me on multiple occasions by folks at 2K.

On Tuesday, an update was released that added a holiday theme to the PARK and cleaned up a few other issues. Here is a look at what was changed in the current-gen version of NBA 2K21.

MyCOURT’s Limitless free throw drill is now set to use the 2K camera setting.

Added Online VS, the difficulty used in MyTEAM Unlimited & Limited, to Play With Friends games.

Next-gen users are still awaiting another patch for that version of the game. Chief among the issues hampering the experience on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X are the crashes that occur in various modes.

Most notably, at least on my end, are the crashes that occur in connection with custom rosters and MyNBA. There are hopes we’ll see a fix for these problems sooner rather than later.

The next-gen version is still the most enjoyable 2K I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve played every one since the brand’s inception, but the crashes are beginning to hinder the fun.
