The New York Knicks and Washington Wizards traveled to London to kick off the NBA's London Games. Both teams have struggled to perform thus far, with the Knicks in 13th place in the East while the Wizards hover above them in 11th.
The Knicks have a 10-33 record and are clearly tanking to try and land Zion Williamson while the Wizards have been a team in disarray which also just lost John Wall for the remainder of the year.
With these two slumping sides squaring off across the Atlantic Ocean, it will be interesting to see who gets more crowd support and what these teams will make of their overseas appearance.
The NBA is gaining popularity overseas and this game sold out just one hour after tickets when on sale. It's a game in which not many people would have interest in seeing should it be held on our own soil, but overseas, this is a must-watch outing.
The Knicks have been developing rookie Kevin Knox as they give him ample time to hoist up shots and improve as a team leader. He's averaging 12.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and is knocking down 1.7 threes per game at a 35.9 percent clip.
The Wizards have been relying on Bradley Beal to lead the team. Beal is averaging 24.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists this season while hitting 2.6 threes per game at a 35.7 percent clip. He's often been linked with a move away from the team but nothing has materialized quite yet.
