Heading into the NBA All-Star Game and following a recent patch, NBA 2K19 saw another player rating increase. Some players even earned new in-game badges.
In light of the upcoming showcase, and in recognition of outstanding play, Western Conference All-Star reserves Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and LaMarcus Aldridge of the San Antonio Spurs saw their overall rating jump by two points. Jokic's rating is now at 93 and Aldridge has an 88.
Jokic has been good all season, but he was phenomenal in the month of January. The 23-year-old averaged 25 points, 11 rebounds and a remarkable 8.2 assists per game from the center spot. Jokic is now the highest-rated active center in NBA 2K19, moving ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers' Joel Embiid, whose rating is a 92.
Jokic will be second once Anthony Davis is restored to full health. His current finger injury has reduced his rating to a 91 with a minus-4 penalty. Aldridge is the highest-rated active PF, moving ahead of the Detroit Pistons' Blake Griffin, who is at an 87.
Aldridge's increase draws him even with a fully healthy Kristaps Porzingis. The newest Dallas Maverick will be rated an 88 once he's cleared to return. With a three-point-injury deduction for his right knee issue, he's at an 85.
James Harden was already rated a 96 overall, but in light of his maniacal pace over the past three weeks, it's only right 2K give him yet another bump in the ratings. He's now second only to LeBron James' 98 overall rating in the game.
