Bring up your coaches cam (R Trigger/R2). You will have to put the main WR on the drama by pressing the button that corresponds with that particular receiver (i.e. X or O or even R1/RB). Once you've selected a primary WR, you are prepared to snap the ball.
Following the QB takes the snap, hold down Left Trigger/L2 to bring your target icon--this seems similar to the way you used to bring the vision up cone/windows from the much older versions of Madden. The goal icon will come up near the region of the principal WR you chose and finally set during your pre-snap browse.
You will not be able to modify your main WR after you snap the ball. When you place the main WR and snap on the ball, then you won't have the ability to switch to a different intended target. That makes your task as the QB particularly tough when deciding to use the new target passage feature.
Throwing the Pass
Now you're prepared to toss your targeted pass to the WR.
As the play progresses, you transfer the goal icon across the field, freely, utilizing the perfect Stick to guide the target icon to the spot where you would like to throw the pass. All while you are still holding down the Left Trigger/L2. Then, you're ready to throw your pass.
When you release the pass, you will throw the ball into the spot where you have placed the objective icon. It follows that precision, expertise, and a firm understanding of the WR's route will soon be secrets to mastering the new target death feature.
It also usually means that your QB's ratings will play a much larger role in successfully employing the objective passing attribute. A QB's thrust force will carry more weight with target passing. To describe, you do NOT need to use the new target passing attribute in Madden 18. You may still use the older, conventional passing commands, but with a couple of minor changes. Target passing, you may have noticed, uses the exact buttons as the high-low pass placement feature from the past two years. That usually means that the controls to get high-low pass positioning changed this year.
New High-Low Passing Controls
To cast positioning passes to your intended receiver, then you will hold LB/L1 to enable the high-low departure.
