Only a week past, Jermaine Kearse allegedly declared he wished to proceed from the Seahawks. In January, Kearse made it clear he would not accept a hometown discount to stay in Seattle. Well, so much for all of this.
As first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter and supported by the Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Seahawks resigned Kearse into a three-year contract on Thursday.
Kearse is not a name that is huge, but that is a terrific signing for the Seahawks. Outside of that one play, Kearse is a consistent performer in the playoffs, although he is famous for his wild, juggling catch in the Super Bowl from the Patriots.
Using their quarterback, Russell Wilson, hitting at his peak the Seahawks made sure they kept a goal he is not uncomfortable with and a receiver who is apparently still rising.
