Evander Kane is not going to play for the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night when they take to the Ottawa Senators.
Sabres trainer Dan Bylsma stated that Kane missed training because he violated a team rule and overslept. Bylsma stated that he had been phoned by Kane and general manager Tim Murray on Monday to tell them he'd not be at training.
What stands out about Kane training that is missing is not simply the fact he was not there.
Bylsma's problem was not that the match was attended by Kane, it is the fact he didn't make it back in time for training on Monday.
He was got by them in a mid-season trade from the Winnipeg Jets a year ago in what's been among the few trades the Jets organization has truly made within the last five years.
It is not initially this season a team has done something such as this.
Following Super Bowl 50 the Calgary Flames benched Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan as soon as they arrived late to practice following the match.
