Sometimes we hype ourselves up so much about something that when actually faced with the reality of it, we get angry that it didn't meet our expectations. Like with a highly anticipated movie or a new video game. Sometimes we want something to be one way and then it turns out to be the exact opposite.
Apparently, this was exactly how LeBron James felt about his Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Kevin Love last season.
It took James and Love a significant amount of time last season before they started clicking on the court. There were several rough patches, especially at the start of the season -- which according to Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal was because James was "frustrated" with Love showing up to training camp out of shape.
Some players use training camp to fine tune their condition so Love showing up out of shape is not highly unsual. It is strange though that Love wasn't motivated to show up in shape after being traded to Cleveland and teaming up with James to be part of a championship contender.
Of course this is now all in the past as all wounds heal over time and James' and Love's relationship is much better. James wants Love to take on a larger role this season and the Cavs forward is up for the challenge.
