The San Diego Chargers have parted ways. Butler declared the move where he issued a statement thanking his teammates, San Diego fans and possession for his or her support during his six years with all the team.
Butler, who's still only 27 years old, signed the Chargers on a tremendous new contract merely a couple of years past.
Butler fought to reach his previous degree of play on the past two seasons, though, never quite living up to that particular contract that was big.
He was set to count for $9.28 million on San Diego's publications for the 2016 season, an amount the Chargers clearly found overly high. Considering they've drafted an inside linebacker in the next round of every one of the last two drafts (Manti Te'o and Denzel Perryman), perhaps it will be less of a surprise that Butler was sent packing.
